Responsibilities

  • Participates in room set up, turnover, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Performs duties relating to processing, decontaminates and maintenance of the surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance to manufactures specifications and the facilities policies and procedures.
  • Will notify Supervisor of any potential defects to equipment and will work to facilitate maintenance/repair with manufacture.
  • Understands and practices principles of universal precautions, and hazardous materials management to process instruments, equipment, and supplies through the stages of decontamination.
  • Performs weekly scope surveillance sampling and culturing.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Qualifications

Education Required: High School diploma

 

Education Preferred: CNA certification; or evidence of successful completion of Reid

                                        Health recognized Nursing Assistant program or the

                                        fundamentals course of nursing school.        

                                       

Experience Required:  Yes; in an extended care or other healthcare facility

 

Certifications: Basic Life Support

Schedule Details

Day shift. 40 hours weekly. 7:30a-4:00p.
